  1. Hello,

My name is Buddy Steele and I work with Gratitude Initiative (G.I.) We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to provide educational support and college scholarships to the children and families of military service members, veterans, disabled veterans, and those killed in defense of our country. We believe that there is no greater way to honor a military service member of veteran’s sacrifice than by helping to provide for their child’s education. By helping to educate their children we are not only expressing our gratitude, we are investing in the very future of our communities and our entire nation. I’m reaching out to you because we believe that your blog would be a great resource to spread the word about our program.

The service that we provide to military families is called the G.I. College Success Academy. The G.I. College Success Academy is completely FREE of charge to qualifying military families. We offer the following at no cost to every student and family in our program:

    Live Online Tutoring
    SAT/ACT/PSAT Test Prep
    College and Career Counseling
    Designated Milestones & Email Reminders
Live Degreed Advisors (available by phone, chat, and email)
    Application and Essay Review
    Financial Aid Counseling
    Instructional Video & Article Library

At G.I., we know the level of sacrifice made by each and every military/veteran family. Beyond that, we know that supporting a military family is a global effort. That's why we support students in 16 U.S. states, 3 different countries, and counting. This is where we serve students, because this is where you and other families serve our country.

Please follow this link to watch a video about our program and learn more: http://www.gratitudeinitiative.org/application/

If you would like to discuss our program in more detail or would like to receive more information, please let me know. We would be more than happy to discuss how we can partner with you to help even more families! If you would be willing to promote our service, we would be happy to provide you with content in the form of images, text, Facebook posts, etc.

Additionally, if you, or a family close to you, has a qualifying 8th-11th grade student, we strongly encourage you to apply to the G.I. College Success Academy!

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider using your broad reach in the military family community to promote our free program. We deeply appreciate your family’s sacrifice to our country and look forward to continuing to help families just like yours!

    Sincerely,

    Buddy Steele, M.Ed.

  2. Hi Dannika and Family,

My name is Ludwig Marcello, I am a USAF captain and recently accepted to complete my doctoral psychology residency at Lackland AFB. I wanted to reach out to you because I recently found your blog while research popular military related blogs. The reason for my research is that I am looking for influential individuals who may be able to assist me with my doctoral dissertation.

Specifically, my project focuses on the experiences of individuals who are currently in romantic relationships (e.g., spouses, romantic partners) with U.S. active duty soldiers and/or veterans. Specifically, anyone who is in relationship with a soldier who may suffer from the physical and/or psychological effects of having served in the military. My survey however, does not discriminate for severity so everyone is welcomed!

Would you consider sharing this link through your blog and/or social media profiles? The link is www.MilitaryCaregiver.com where you can see the survey and get a little more information. By the way, if you do, you will be entered to win one of 5, $100 Amazon gift cards. Thank you so much for your help and please do not hesitate to reach out if you were to have any questions. My email is LudwigMarcelloM@gmail.com.

    Thank you!
    Ludwig Marcello M
