Ears and Halloween

Dannika is officially 3 months old. Nick and I decided to go get her ears pierced today at the mall at Claire's. It's my last resort so people will quit thinking she is a boy! Seriously...sometimes she will be in a pink onesie, a pink blanket on top of her, and a pink pacifier in her mouth and people STILL ask me if she's a boy or a girl. We picked out her first pair of diamond earrings and got her ears pierced. She was a champ! She only cried for probably 30 seconds and got over it. Afterwards, I bought her first pair of jeans from Old Navy, so I am really excited about dressing her in those. I decided to take an attempt at "professional" Halloween photos for Dannika for a Halloween card at home. They didn't turn out too bad...I'm no Melissa Lyn (her newborn photographer), buuuut not too shabby. I can't wait till Nick buys me my new Canon XS....YAY!

So peaceful...

The One Handed Diaper Change

I challenged Nick to change Dannika's poopy diaper with one hand...

He succeeded...I have such a talented hubby...he can make Marines, shoot big guns, fight terrorists, fix anything and everything around the house...and change a diaper with one hand...how did I get so lucky?

Girls Night Out/Dulce's 22nd Birthday Party!

Since coming on recruiting duty, I've met a group of girls that I absolutely LOVE! They are the wives of all the recruiters that I work with or have had the pleasure of working with. It's awesome because I never really got along with other Marines' wives when I was a fleet Marine. They've become some of my best friends. It's cool cause they all understand the long hours of recruiting duty and they can relate. The handful of girlfriends I had were all Marines, and I LOVE them dearly still to this day. This past weekend, my boss's wife/wonderful friend turned the big 2-2, and we celebrated by going out for drinks and dinner at the Yardhouse. It was such a blast...until the next morning for me when I felt like straight butt...haha. Thank God for wonderful husbands who decided to stay home and watch the kiddos so that we could go out. Without them, we would be nothing!
